BOOK A CALL

Are you giving yourself and your team an “out” to avoid accountability?

There are 3 words we all use.

Most of the time, we don’t even know we’re saying them.

And these 3 lil words allow us to not make a commitment.

They also impact our ability to accomplish our goals.

“I’ll 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 do x,y and z”
“I’ll 𝐭𝐫𝐲 to do x, y and z this week”
“I 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 to have this completed by the end of the year”

Without even realizing it these words, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲, 𝐭𝐫𝐲 and 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞, gives us an out.

We aren’t committing to anything.

And when the stakes are high and we’re embarking on doing something that’s uncomfortable.

It’s easy to give ourselves an “out” to avoid being uncomfortable.

The fact of the matter is, when you give yourself an out, circumstances will always come up and take precedence.

If you truly want to drive a committed workforce that’s accountable to the results.

Start saying:

“I 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 do this by x date”
“I 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 do x, y and z by Friday”
“This 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 be completed by x date”

That’s commitment. There’s no way out.

And when there’s no way out, there’s accountability.

Are you giving yourself an “out” or fully committing?
