BOOK A CALL

Scarcity is an evil lil' thing.

You hit your limit, you know you have, yet you keep saying yes.

I was chatting with an owner of a company with whom I’m working with, and he said a powerful statement.

We aren’t accepting new business right now.

Huh?

We can’t hire enough staff to keep up with our current business.

And we want to ensure we can support our current clients successfully.

If we want more business, it’s there for the taking.

But I won’t do it until I know we’re able to support it.

That’s not how it normally goes though.

We say yes.

✅ Yes, we can take on that project, knowing that we don’t have the capacity in our teams to support it
✅ Yes, we can take on that new client, knowing full well that the quality that client will receive will be subpar
✅ Yes, we can operate without that headcount, knowing that your team is already working 60 - 70 hours a week and they’re already stretched way too thin.

In all reality, you can’t.

At least right now.

But you say yes anyways.

And everyone suffers.

Your team, peers, clients, organization, family, friends.

Even you.

And slowly you start:

❌ Losing employees
💼 Losing clients
💰 Losing revenue

With this mindset, it’s impossible to win.

If you truly want to shift, play the long-term game.

Have confidence that saying no right now doesn’t mean you’re losing.

You’re setting yourself up for success long term.
